Having read quite a few blogs in my time I would like to say that this is one of the most well written and interesting blogs I\'ve seen. As well as providing useful information and narrative for the readers, it also provides a welcome solution to a lot of creative aspects of the home, that are usually forgotten and overlooked by people. It has inspired me to make quite a few changes to my home and made me see how it can be improved. Thank you for such a brilliant blog, I look forward to the next post.

The Design Team at YDA aim to visit Maison & Objet Paris every year, to gain inspiration and ideas, as well as take the opportunity to network with editors, manufacturers and traders. Over the years we have been visiting, we have picked up many suppliers who we use to this day.
Maison & Objet is a large international homeware trade show in Paris which exhibits twice a year, in January and September. It is composed of three sections within eight large exhibition halls, displaying a comprehensive range of products, from fabrics to furniture, and even quirky cutlery. A range of interior designers, architects, product designers and suppliers are invited to visit the shows every year.
After reflecting on the changing consumer behaviour, Maison & Objet have recently modified the largest part of the trade show. The main hall of ‘Objet’ has been divided up into three clear areas; ‘Cook & Share’, ‘Home & Fashion Accessories’ and ‘Smart Gift’, this offers visitors a unique and fresh shopping experience.
Each of the three sections at Maison & Objet Paris is dedicated to a different sector of Interiors. ‘Maison’ is inspired by interior decoration, ‘Objet’ is concept and retail, and ‘Influences’ is architecture, design and luxury.

The design show in January displays soft furnishings, boasting a range of remarkable fabrics from brands such as Estetik Décor and Dedar, whereas the focus of the September show is unusual furniture and homeware, from companies such as Heerenhuis and Eichholtz.
