This woman, LaShenda, is from Tennessee and she used to spend the night in a grocery shop parking lot. She knew she had to hide from law enforcement officials and police. LaShenda would drive around her car to different locations around the city in the day and then sleep in the grocery shop parking lot at night. You won’t believe what the grocery shop management did, you’d be shocked.
She had no job, no home to call her own, and was battling a drug addiction. She had to make sure to keep hidden. “I would lean my seat all the way back so no one would see me because, you know, I knew I wasn’t supposed to be there,” she explained.
Towards the end of the year, the manager informed her about an approaching job fair and suggested she attend. The manager allowed the woman to plug in an old laptop she had to fill out the online application.
After hours of filling out the application, the grocery shop officially hired the homeless woman as a team member. “She’s a fantastic worker, I wish I had 120 like her,” the manager said.
“We are so lucky to have her as part of our shop family. Her uplifting spirit is contagious. She has made such a positive impact on her fellow team members, and so many customers as well,” the manager said.
Since being hired, she now has her own apartment, has food on the table each day, and doesn’t have to worry about people harassing her as they did when she was on the streets. She’s now loved and appreciated and on the right track to a better life.

Denver, Colorado – Last Saturday night we were all watching a movie and eating popcorn which is a very frequent event on the weekend in our home. I didn’t think twice to give my son popcorn. my son had small choking episode but was fine. The only thing we observed was a cough he developed after the episode.
Monday came, mu husband left for a 3-day trip and it was pretty much the same as the day prior. As the evening came, I noticed my son felt warm and he was super fussy. He had a fever, so I gave him Motrin and put him to bed.
A very long night with him and then his breathing looked a little labored to me and he just didn’t feel good. I called my pediatrician immediately and said Nash needs to be seen ASAP. And we did it immediately.
I paced and cried the entire time my little man was in surgery. He had aspirated popcorn into his lungs when he choked.
The body recognized it as a foreign object and put puss pockets around it. All the inflammation caused him to develop pneumonia in his left lung. During the procedure the doctor got out 6 pieces.
My lovely boy was a Rockstar and recovered well. We’re so thankful our little man came out ok. All of this over popcorn which is eaten on a regular basis in our home.
Always trust your gut because it’s right!!

Chicago, Illinois – A Subway worker was filmed while preparing a sandwich for a customer. The lady was probably so tired that she managed to fall asleep while making the sandwich. A video of this event in Chicago, was uploaded and went viral with over 12 million views.
In the clip, the female fast-food worker is seen preparing a footlong sub for a customer as soothing music plays in the background.
The customer films her sprinkling a topping from a container onto the sandwich when her hand stops half way down the bread roll.
She slowly begins to slump forward, while still standing up, and her face gets closer and closer to the counter.
First her Subway hat touches the sandwich, then her face – which is covered in a blue face-mask. The woman appears to be fast asleep in the food, completely oblivious to the customer waiting on his sandwich. The 28-second clip was posted with the caption: ‘This lady fell asleep on my sandwich.’

A California mom was accused of sleeping with underage boyfriends of both of her daughters. Coral Lytle, 41, is facing charges for sleeping with a 14 years-old and 15 years-old boys.
Court filings allege that 41-year-old Coral Lytle “took advantage of a position of trust to molest two boys who she met when they [were in] teenage dating relationships with the defendant’s daughters,” a Tulare County deputy district attorney wrote.
However, Tulare County prosecutor spokesman Stuart Anderson said that because of a disagreement among judges overseeing the case regarding Lytle’s sentence, Lytle “could potentially withdraw her March plea to all charges and discuss a new indicated sentence,” or a new trial date could be set for her.
The alleged victims both were Redwood High School freshman at the time, and were given alcohol and cigars by Lytle, who drove from her home to meet them, according to prosecutors.
After his alleged third encounter with Lytle, the 15-year-old boy “stated this was the last time he had sex with [Lytle] because he felt bad shaking [her] husband’s hand knowing what he was doing with [Lytle],” the deputy district attorney wrote. Authorities were alerted when one of the boys made a report to Visalia police alleging an “inappropriate relationship” with the woman.
A judge indicated that Lytle would be sentenced to three years in prison, but — after the district attorney’s office urged a longer sentence — a different judge said that if Lytle agreed to plead guilty, he would offer her one year in the county jail with a six-year suspended sentence, and require her to register as a sex offender.

The 40-year-old tennis icon has launched a new vegan recovery drink developed with the help of leading nutritionists and registered dietitians.
This week, iconic tennis star Venus Williams debuted her vegan protein shake brand.
According to Williams, Happy Viking is the only plant-based protein shake powered by Complete Body Mind Macronutrients (CBMM) – a unique blend of ingredients for your body & mind. It packs in 20 grams of protein, including all nine essential amino acids. The drink is also good for the gut with prebiotic fiber. Plus, it has been fortified in plant-based sources of omega fatty acids such as DHA Omega 3 and Oleic Sunflower Oil for brain health.
Williams health journey
The idea to create Happy Viking came after Williams was diagnosed with Sjögren’s Syndrome (an autoimmune disease) in 2011, which changed the course of her life.
On the company’s website, she revealed that the condition ‘forced’ her to stop playing tennis, and left her in ‘constant’ pain.
In an interview, Williams said:
After being diagnosed with Sjögren’s Syndrome, I needed to find a way to fuel my body in a way that would mitigate symptoms of the disease and help me to return to the top of my game both on and off the court. I needed to find a way to take back control of my health.
The seven-time Grand Slam winner and four-time Olympic gold medalist then transitioned to a vegan diet after consulting her doctors. Her sister Serena Williams, a fellow vegan, also played a pivotal role in helping Venus make the switch.
In just 10 months, I recovered and won my fifth Wimbledon Championship and an Olympics Gold medal. I’ve now won 75 Championship tennis titles and had one of the longest careers in tennis history.
Since her health diagnosis, the athlete has worked with top nutritionists and dieticians to create a plant-based nutritional blend that fuels her mind and body and keeps her on top of her game. Her Happy Viking protein shake is formulated to deliver the same benefits.
She also said:
I created Happy Viking because I want other people to have healthy, effective, and delicious options to fuel their bodies so they can strive towards being their best self in every aspect of their life.
The plant-based Happy Viking shakes cost only $2.91 per bottle and are available in Vanilla Bean and Triple Chocolate flavors.
