There are lots of ways to make money online and this domain flipping guide will show you how to make money from domain names.
What is Domain Flipping?
Domain flipping is the term used for buying and selling domain names.
A domain name is like real estate on the internet, a place where a website can be found and some domain names can command huge prices.
Unfortunately the chances of finding one of the multi-million pound domains for sale for peanuts are low but that doesn’t mean you can’t make a profit flipping domains if you learn the tips and tricks of the business.
To get started in the domain flipping business you first have to find somewhere to buy a domain.
There are many domain brokers around and prices and offers can vary with each one.
Buying a domain is very straight forward and your chosen registrar will have easy to follow forms to fill in to help with your purchase.
Finding A Profitable Domain
Finding a domain that you can flip for a profit is not easy, but it is possible if you do your research.
So what does a valuable domain name have that others don’t?
Let’s look a few things that will increase the value of a domain.
Domain names containing a keyword can sell very well and the value can be high if it is a popular and profitable keyword.
For example if you wanted a domain name for a Watch store you might want a domain with the word ‘Watch’ in it. This sort of keyword can increase the value and the demand for your domain.
If a domain name is easy to remember it will be more popular and with popularity comes PROFIT!
One word domain names are particularly valuable but can be hard to find at a good price and most words have already been registered so unless you manage to stumble upon an expired domain it could be difficult.
Another way of getting a one word domain is to change the spelling slightly. Some examples of this are teeszer.com or booszer.com. Both of these domains are memorable but the spelling gives you more chance of them being available.
Finding a domain that is brandable can also be profitable.
By brandable I mean a name that sounds like it could be a brand name of a Company. This could be a single word like the examples in the previous section or a combination of words.
If it sounds like a brand then hopefully someone will be prepared to pay a premium to get it.
A domain that is short – either letters or numbers such as xyz.com or 789.com can command large prices.
Basically the shorter and more memorable the domain name is, the more valuable it will be.
Finding Expired Domains
Expired domains can be valuable as they might have some traffic history which can help with search engine ranking.
You can sometimes find a bargain if a domain owner has forgot to renew a domain or has just not needed it anymore.
If a domain has previously had good quality traffic to it this can be a good selling point.
You can find expired domains at websites such as expireddomains.net.
Selling Your Domains
There are lots of online marketplaces to sell domains.
They can be sold for a fixed price or by auction and by selling through a reputable online marketplace you will have the security that the transaction will run smoothly and your money will be paid in a timely fashion.
The marketplace I use is Sedo.
Most Valuable Domains
There are domains that can command millions of dollars and the most valuable sale prices are unbelievable.
Let’s take a look at the top 10 most valuable domains of all time.
- LasVegas.com – $90 million (2005)
- CarInsurance.com – $49.7 million (2010)
- Insurance.com – $35.6 million (2010)
- Vacationrentals.com – $35 million (2007)
- Privatejet.com – $30.1 million (2012)
- Internet.com – $18 million (2009)
- Insure.coom – $16 million (2009)
- Sex.com – $13 million (2010)
- Hotels.com – $11 million (2001)
- Fund.com – $9.9 million (2008)
As you can see, if you find the right domain name it can sell for life changing money but these prices are not typical so don’t think domain flipping will make you rich overnight.
Remember to start small and as with any investment, only spend what you can afford to lose as there are no guarantee of profit.
If you give it a go I hope you have great success. If domain flipping isn’t for you check out the rest of this blog for more ideas to make money online.

Knowing how to develop skills and knowledge for your online Business can be the difference between success and failure.
In this post I am going to show you some ways you can easily learn new skills and update your knowledge without ever having to leave the comfort of your house!
When it comes to online Business there is always a lot to learn and the learning never stops.
The online World is constantly changing, so to keep your Business growing you need to know how to develop skills and knowledge that will keep you ahead of the game.
These skills will depend on the type of online Business you have but you will find lots of learning resources online.
Some of these learning resources are free and some can cost a lot of money, so you need to make sure you choose the right option for you and your Business.
The best way to start is to find as much free information as possible… you will be amazed how much is out there!
So let’s take a look at a few.
Ukandoo Academy is a brand new site featuring lots of free training courses, modules, lessons and videos.
The training covers many different areas of online Business such as affiliate marketing, dropshipping and website building.
This is an excellent place to start for beginners as you can work through the information at your own pace and gradually progress through the levels as you gain more knowledge and experience.
There are also forums where you can ask questions and share information to help with your online learning.
The people involved in the Ukandoo Academy are very knowledgeable and highly regarded experts in this industry and they are happy to answer questions and help you out if required.
A paid Premium membership will be offered later in the year providing more in depth training and support such as webinars but the majority of the content will remain free forever.
Overall this is too good to miss and some people would charge a lot of money for all these resources.
Don’t miss out.

Youtube is the second largest search engine and is a resource you must use if you are looking for free information.
The information you can find on Youtube is amazing and the fact that it is in video form makes it much easier to learn the skills you need.
Whether you need to know how to build a WordPress website or find different ways to make money online you will usually find what you need for free on Youtube.
Search Youtube here.
Quora is a free to use question and answer site.
Here you can ask a question on any subject and people from the Quora community will answer for you.
You can also search the questions that have been asked by others and even reply to questions yourself if you have a good knowledge of a particular subject.
Some of the Quora community are more ‘expert’ than others so filter the answers you receive carefully.
Check out Quora here.
If you search your chosen niche you will find lots of blogs with free information (just like this one).
These blogs are a valuable resource in your quest for free knowledge.
The blog posts might include text, images and videos as well as links to useful resources to help with your online learning.
Some of these blogs will give away more free information when you sign up for a mailing list so it can be worth giving them your email address if you think the information will benefit you.
Some sites with mailing lists will try to sell you online courses or ebooks once they have your email address. In my experience you will be able to find enough information for free (like you can on this site) so keep your money in your pocket as these courses rarely offer anything that you can’t find elsewhere on the internet for free.
Thanks for reading this post and good luck learning how to develop skills and knowledge for your online Business.

There has been a bit of Bitcoin panic recently but should we be getting worried or will everything work out well?
The Story So Far
If you read this blog regularly you will know I have a small Crypto-Currency investment and I like to keep you updated on my experiences and thoughts on it.
It has been a roller coaster ride with my investment and if you haven’t already read my previous posts on this subject, you might want to check out Bitcoin – Have You Missed Out and Crypto Crisis – Is It Time To Cash Out.
After experiencing the highs at the end of 2017 and the massive crash back down in early 2018 I was left wondering if Digital Currency really was a good investment?
My Bitcoin and Ethereum investments are still around double their initial values but Litecoin is slightly down.
So not all bad so far but a lot less than it was at the end of 2017.
Is It Time For Bitcoin Panic?
So… is it really time for Bitcoin Panic or should we keep believing?
All my investments have crept up slightly in recent weeks and after reading what financial experts have been saying I am confident they will keep going in the right direction.
Bitcoin and all Crypto-Currencies are very volatile and the prices can fluctuate from hour to hour but there is a lot of talk about prices increasing this year.
I have heard reports suggesting Bitcoin could rise to as much as $30000 in 2018 which would be an unbelievable rise but if it gets to a similar price that it reached at the end of 2017 I would be happy with that.
Bitcoin Panic Over?
Is the Bitcoin panic now over? Panic selling doesn’t help and sometimes a calm head is needed to profit in the long term.
I am confident prices will rise this year and will be keeping my investment in the long term.
If you have a Crypto-Currency investment I would love to hear your thoughts on it. You can post a comment below.
To invest in Bitcoin and other Crypto-Currencies you need a Digital Wallet. There are lots available but the one I use and recommend is Coinbase.

I hope you enjoyed this update on my investments. Check out the rest of the site for more ways to make money in your spare time.

Business motivation is one of the most important factors if you are to be successful in your chosen venture, but quite often it is overlooked.
In this post I will show you how to get motivated and keep your Business motivation in the long term.
How To Get Business Motivation
When you first start out, your Business motivation should come naturally.
The buzz of being in Business and the freedom to control your own destiny gets the adrenaline flowing and inspires you to work hard.
That’s the easy bit!
Once the initial buzz has passed you need to keep the Business motivation to keep your business moving forwards.
So what can you do to keep motivated?
1. Set Yourself Goals
Keep setting yourself goals and targets to keep your Business motivation on track. This will keep you focused and allow you to drive the business forward.
Your goals could be daily, weekly, monthly or even yearly targets to give you a sense of achievement each time you reach your goal.
2. Find Inspiration In Others
The success of other people in similar Businesses can be used to motivate you.
Find out who the key figures are in your Business sector. Look at their achievements and try to emulate them.
Look at how they run their Businesses and always be willing to take advice and learn from others.
3. Try New Things
Routine can create boredom and a lack of Business motivation.
Keep things fresh and look for new ways of working or new technology that could help improve the way you do things.
Anything that prevents you getting bored will help with your motivation and just a small change can have a dramatic effect on how you feel about your business.
4. Don’t Burn Yourself Out
It can be tempting to work all hours when you start a Business and sometimes it can be difficult to avoid early in your Business life, but all work and no play can leave you resenting your working life.
Tiredness and fatigue can creep in and change the way we feel about our Business.
You have to enjoy working in your Business if you are to stay motivated so take breaks where possible.
Try limiting the amount of hours you work per day… set a time for your working day and stick to it!
Stop working weekends (unless your Business has to be open on these days). Weekends give you the time to recharge your batteries and have the energy for the weeks ahead.
5. Reward Yourself
Rewarding yourself for your hard work is a great way to create Business motivation.
A reward doesn’t have to cost a fortune but can help you to focus on your achievements.
You could treat you and your Family to a day out or go for a nice meal or maybe just buy those shoes you have had your eye on.
It can be difficult to spend money on yourself when you are in Business but a small treat now and again will make a massive difference to the way you feel and keep you motivated to reap the rewards in the future.
I hope this list will give you some ideas to keep your Business motivation for the long term and inspire you to be successful.

Employed or Self Employed – Which has the most risk?
That is an easy question to answer… or is it?
In this post I will look at whether being employed is the safe option or could being self employed carry less risk?
Is Being Employed The Safe Option?
We are told from an early age to work hard at school and get a good education so that we can get a good safe job and live happily ever after.
This brain washing works on most people and we follow these rules throughout our lives until we pick up our pension… if we are lucky!
But are we really happy with this and what price do we pay for a ‘safe’ career choice?
Most of us will wake up early, drag ourselves out of bed and go to work every day with a feeling of dread.
Our lives fly by, scraping a living while we make someone else rich with our hard work.
And don’t forget… this rich person that steals our precious time also controls our entire life.
They tell us when we have to be at work, when we can have a holiday and how much we will be paid.
Our boss can also fire us at any time!
Is your safe little life still feeling like the SAFE option?
Maybe there is a better way?
Could Self Employed Really Be Safe?
If you are Self Employed you must be taking a risk… right?
Well yes there are risks when you are self employed. But as I mentioned earlier being employed isn’t exactly risk free.
Yes it can cost money to start a business and finding enough work to earn a living can be hard.
Being self employed can also bring you things that being employed rarely does.
It can bring you FREEDOM!
Freedom to work when it suits you.
Freedom to earn what you want to earn.
And the freedom to be in control of your own life and live on your own terms.
Can I Lower The Risks?
You can minimize the risks that self employment brings with the business model that you choose.
If you choose a business that has low start up costs and low overheads for example.
Choose something you have good knowledge of and continue to learn… there is always more to LEARN!
A good example of a safe business is an online business such as affiliate marketing.
The overheads are low and the rewards can be great.
You can also work at a time that suits you… night or day?
Blogging is a good way to get in to affiliate marketing. Check out my post – Start A Blog On A Budget to get your blogging career off to a low cost start.
If you still aren’t ready to take the plunge and go self employed full time then a part-time business might be the way to go. Take a look at the post – Starting A Part Time Business – Is It For You?
Whatever you decide to do I hope this post has given you a few things to think about and maybe it will inspire you to achieve your dream career.
*Please note these are my opinions regarding self-employment and any financial decisions should not be taken lightly. Always consult a qualified business and financial adviser before making these decisions.

Starting a part time business is a big commitment… but is it suitable for you?
There are lot’s of people who would like to make extra money in their spare time but most won’t actually do anything about it.
In this post I will talk about why this can happen and how to choose the right part time business for you.
Is A Part Time Business For Me?
There are lots of different ways to make money in your spare time – some of which you can find in the post 7 Ways To Make Spare Time Cash , but you have to choose what is right for you and also decide if starting a part time business is right for you at all.
The reason I say that it may not be for everyone is that whatever you do to make the extra money, will take up time and take certain skills that you may or may not have.
So before you decide to look at different ways to earn money, think about the following
- How much spare time do I have?
- What days and times do I have to do the work?
- What skills do I have?
- Will other members of the family be helping me?
- Am I self motivated enough to do it?
So lets look at each of these bullet points in more detail.
How Much Spare Time Do I Have?
Look at what spare time you have.
What do you do with this spare time at the moment?
If you spend your spare time sat in front of the TV, then the time could probably be spent in a more constructive way – like making extra money!
If you spend your spare time at the gym or playing sport or doing any organised hobby with other people, then you might not want to give this up and so limiting the time you have to do other things.
What Days And Times Do I Have To Do The Work?
Think about when you have spare time.
What hours do you work, how many hours a day?
If you get home from work at a late time and have a tiring job, you will have to think carefully about the type of extra work you do to earn a second income.
If your extra work is online, then this can be done anytime, day or night.
On the other hand, if the extra work involves doing something offline then you need to make sure you are available at the correct time to do the work.
What Skills Do I Have?
Take a look at what you are good at.
Think about the type of work that would suit you best.
Are you good with computers?
Do you have any technical skills such as building websites for example?
By going through what you can and can’t do you can quickly get a list of possible ways to make money and rule out the ones that aren’t suitable.
Will Other Members Of The Family Be Helping Me?
Think about who will help you with your part time business… if anyone.
Do you have a partner who can help?
Maybe you have teenage children who can get involved in some way?
This can have a massive effect on the amount of time that can be put in and can be a real help in creating a part time business.
Am I Self Motivated Enough To Do It?
Lot’s of people like the thought of starting a part time business but whatever you eventually decide to do, you will need the discipline and self motivation to put in extra work on a regular basis.
If you have a bad day in your day job you will still have to put the extra work in when you get home.
This can be very difficult and you really have to love what you do to keep going when it becomes difficult for some reason. It is easy to just say ‘I will do it tomorrow’, but that isn’t always possible and your focus needs to be on your part time business.
So… Is It For You?
Take a look at all these factors and decide whether a part time business is suitable for you.
This will give you a clearer vision of what is involved and you can start your business knowing exactly what you can expect in the future.
This knowledge can be the difference between success and failure.
I hope this post has given you a few things to think about and helps you make an informed decision about you future.
Enjoy the ride!
