OHMYGOSSIP — John Partridge is to star in ‘Cabaret’.
The former ‘EastEnders’ actor will portray the role of Emcee in the hit musical – which features catchy tunes such as ‘Money Makes the World Go Round’ and ‘Two Ladies’ – as the show embarks on a new tour from August 28th.
John will first head to Bromley to take on the Master of Ceremonies role, and the musical tour will also travel to Dublin, Belfast, Edinburgh, Chester and Aberdeen among other areas.
The show is choreographed by Javier de Frutos, with Rufus Norris staging the musical.
John is known for portraying Christian Clarke on the BBC One soap from 2008 to 2012, and 2014 to 2016, and he can also cook up a storm after scooping the ‘Celebrity MasterChef’ crown last year.
Following his triumph, the 47-year-old star admitted his late mother Bridget, who passed away on 13 April 2017 after living with Alzheimer’s disease for seven years, was “an angel” on his shoulder during the show’s final.
He said: “It was an amazing experience from beginning to end. My mum passed away on April 13th 2017 and I won ‘MasterChef’ on April 13th 2018 … so when I went in for that final cook, I definitely had an angel on my shoulder.
“You know I took her wooden spoon with me, I know she was there, she was stirring that custard.”
John quit his job on ‘EastEnders’ to look after Bridget, and he went on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ in 2016 to get the money to pay for her to have professional care when her condition worsened.

OHMYGOSSIP — Ash Palmisciano “can’t believe” he’s been at ‘Emmerdale’ for a year.
The 29-year-old actor still feels “very grateful” for the opportunity to appear on the ITV soap, on which he portrayed transgender character Matty Barton, who was previously known as Moira Dingle’s (Natalie J. Robb) daughter Hannah Barton.
He wrote on Twitter: “Can’t believe I’ve Been at Emmerdale for a year what a journey it’s been already! Very grateful for the fantastic opportunity (sic)”
A tweet on the official ‘Emmerdale’ Twitter account read: “Yay! Happy One Year Anniversary, Ash! (sic)”
Ash has already covered some big storylines in his one-year in the Dales, including Matty undergoing gender reassignment surgery.
Speaking about the plot, he previously said: “It’s extremely important for the audience to see the highs, the lows and the vulnerability it takes to become yourself.
“I hope they learn about his inner courage, and how he pushes himself to face his fears.
“What’s really exciting as an actor with this character, is that Matty is open to lots of change.
“I wanted to help create and shape an authentic character – someone that everyone can relate to.
“Matty is a son, a barman, a cheeky chap, a deep thinker, a caring friend – and just happens to be transgender, too.”
Ash was initially enlisted as an adviser for the Matty storyline – but he was asked to audition, and landed the part.
He said: “It is crazy. There’s an amazing charity called All About Trans. They work with just positive representations in the media of trans people.
“They said to me, ‘We’re doing interaction with ‘Emmerdale’, they’re thinking about doing this storyline, they’re looking for some advice on positive reps’.
“They said, ‘Do you want to come?’ I said, ‘Sure, cheeky day out!’ I went along, the next thing they said, ‘Do you want to audition?’ Being an actor, I said, ‘Of course!’ And here I am.
“It was like stepping into my TV. My first day, it was incredible. I was acting with the legend that is Jeff [Hordley], who plays Cain dingle.
“On my first day he had to chuck me over a table. So that was an experience and a half.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Danniella Westbrook’s children aren’t interested in drinking alcohol because of her own struggles.
The former ‘EastEnders’ actress has been open about her battles with addiction and she admitted Kai, 22, and 18-year-old Jodie – who she has from two previous relationships – haven’t been tempted by booze or drugs because they’ve witnessed her “decline” firsthand.
She said: “I was 14 years clean until my relapse, they see the decline in me and thought no way to drink and drugs.”
When Kai wanted to try alcohol for the first time, Danniella was keen for him to do so when she was around so she could help him to learn his “limits” and not get drunk.
Speaking on ‘Jeremy Vine’, she said: “When I lived in the states [where the legal drinking age is 21], we moved back when Kai was 16, so it was never an issue, I was in recovery. we came back and his friends gave him pressure to drink, at parties and things like that
“We were at a friend’s barbecue so decided he could do it in front of us, know your limits, don’t be that kid on Facebook, face down in a bush being sick.
“Neither of my kids really drink.”
The 45-year-old star admitted her own approach to alcohol has always been different to her brother’s, which bemused her as they had the same upbringing.
During a debate on whether parents should let their children drink at home, she said: “I thought my brother did it to make me look bad, we’d go for dinner and he’d leave half a glass of wine, so i’d neck it.
“We have the same parents, [but] he isn’t an alcoholic or an addict, and I am.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Bella Hadid has apologised after being accused of racism over a controversial airport photo.
The 22-year-old model sparked a backlash after she posted a photo from an airport with her feet propped up against the window of a viewing area pointed in the direction of planes with the UAE and Saudi Arabia flags on them.
However, Bella – whose father Mohamed Hadid is Palestinian – took to her Instagram Stories to clarify that she “would never mean to disrespect” the airlines or the countries.
She said: “Not only do I have so much respect from the bottom of my heart, I have always tried to stand up for what I feel is right, especially regarding the great Middle East. I have never and will never be the one to talk down on these countries…
“Only to spread love, and the true beauty of them, as the way I was taught by my Teta and my father. To feel as if I have disappointed you is what hurts me the most.”
In another post, the Victoria’s Secret beauty shared a “sincere apology” after explaining she hadn’t noticed the planes in the background.
She added: “I want to send a sincere apology to those who ever thought I would put blame on them, especially to Saudi Arabia and the UAE…
“This was never the case, and I hope you can understand the misunderstanding.
“I will be more responsible when bringing awareness to all causes, including my beloved Middle Eastern community. Thank you for taking the time. I love every single one of you.”
Meanwhile, Bella also took to Twitter to reiterate her statement and described the incident as an “honest mistake”.
She tweeted: “This was an honest mistake on an early morning… never, ever would I intentionally try to offend anyone like that. I am so sorry.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Gaten Matarazzo thinks ‘Stranger Things’ should end “whenever the story feels like it needs to be completed”.
The cast of the hugely popular Netflix sci-fi horror show don’t want the programme to overstay its welcome, and the 16-year-old actor – who plays Dustin Henderson – suggested the best scenario would be to go out on a high.
He told Entertainment Tonight: “I think we should stop whenever the story feels like it needs to be completed.
“I don’t think any season should be pushed. If there’s no more story, there’s no more story.”
While his castmate Noah Schnapp (Will Byers) said five seasons would be ideal, Finn Wolfhard (Mike Wheeler) isn’t sure the show needs that many.
He added: “I think we definitely need one more to tie it all up…. Either one or two more, for sure. At least one more to tie it up.”
The third season is set to debut on Netflix this summer, and despite the ending of the show not being written yet, Millie Bobby Brown has insisted she already knows what the conclusion will be.
The 15-year-old actress recently said: “I know exactly what happens. Very scared…”
Millie’s claim follows her co-star David Harbour’s comments last month that he also knows the ending, insisting it is “beautiful”.
‘Stranger Things’ – which also stars Winona Ryder and is directed by the Duffer Brothers – tells the story of how a small town uncovers the supernatural mystery of a young boy who vanishes.
It hasn’t been confirmed how many season the show is set to run for, although executive producer Shawn Levy sees it “definitely going four seasons, and there’s very much the possibility of a fifth”.

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Gallagher says he would make a great Prime Minister.
The British rock star praised his “beautiful children” and teased about “dabbling in drugs” in the past as he insisted he should be the one to turn the UK’s fortunes around by taking over 10 Downing Street – the official residence of the PM – once Theresa May is out of office.
Taking to Twitter on Tuesday morning (18.06.19), he wrote: “My name is liam Gallagher I have 4 beautiful children I have dabbled in drugs over the years I’ve had many number 1s now send me the keys to no10 I’ll sort this pile of s**t out WHY ME?WHY NOT. (sic)”
He joked even his name meant he was a perfect fit to lead the country, adding: “ParLIAMent c’mon you know”
The 46-year-old singer even has a policy in mind already, and he responded to a question from a fan to outline his plans if he was in power.
He simply said: “Get oasis back together I’d make it law”
While fans would undoubtedly love to see the ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’ hitmakers reunite after their split in 2009, the long running rift between Liam and his brother Noel means a comeback remains highly unlikely.
Just last week, the 52-year-old star hit out at his sibling’s solo ventures as he insisted rather “put s**t on a pizza” and eat it.
When asked if he’d rather watch his rival football team Manchester United win a quadruple, or watch Liam perform at Wembley, Noel said: “I think I’d rather eat my own s**t. I’d rather put s**t on a pizza and be force fed it than listen to that bozo f***ing murder his own songs.”
