So, back in October 2012 there’s a nanny who killed 2 young children from Marina and Kevin Krim. They trusted and hired her because of the reference she included which was her niece Yaquelin Severino. Severino mentioned that Yoselyn Ortega (her aunt) had many years of child care and that she would be perfect for anyone who was looking for a nanny. So in the beginning of this relationship, it was okay, but as you know the nanny, Yoselyn Ortega slabbed to death the Krim’s two younger children one night leading to new york to sugguest a bills for felony child gigs.
It happened when Marina Krim was wondering why Lulu (her daughter ) wasn’t at ballet class. So Ms.Krim texted Ortega asking where’s her daughter Lulu? She got no reply, she went home…… to her NY Manhattan apartment, and checked all the doors and then she went to check on the last one… can you imagine what she saw? She saw her two little children Lulu and Leo’s bodies lying in the bath tub. And Ms.Krim locked eyes with Ms.Ortega and that’s when Ortega began stabbing herself in the throat. Ms. Krim ran out the door way, so scared yelling ” My Nanny killed my kids!” then the ambulance came.
Because Ms. Krim trusted Ms.Ortega’s references, New York is going to propose a law that makes felony child gigs. So if you lie in the reference in terms of what experience you have in a childcare and if caught you will be facing felony charges. I can see why the senator wants to make this law because they look at children as being vulnerable to mistreatment and therefore this situation of the Krim’s losing there two innocent children would have been prevented if Ms.Severino never lied in Ms.Ortega’s references. Because they believed the reference letter Severino wrote, they made the decision to hire her.
I think it’s too harsh to have Felony Child Gigs but it’s more reasonable for it to be a misdemeanor. Because when you think of felonies , you think of murder, burglary , auto theft, something physical comes to my mind. When I think of a misdemeanor it’s a DUI, fraud, something less server than an actual felony. Felony Child Gigs shouldn’t be made a felony because no body can guess that the nanny or person they hire will murder their children. Who could have predicted that Ortega would have killed the 2 young children? The Krim’s didn’t see it coming, and I bet you, if they did, they would have never hired her for the job. The whole situation is sad, but lying in a reference letter should not be a felony because I bet Severino (Ortega’s niece) was just trying to help her aunt get a job. That was her intention, so she made Ortega’s experience in childcare sound better than it actually was.
Think about this, people who are applying to jobs, who literally have no experience but they get someone like a resume writer to write their resume, where they craft this beautiful resume that basically makes this person sound like they can do A to Z skills, but in reality they can’t. So, what this beautiful resume does is open the door for an job opportunity, it gives the jobseeker the ability to get their foot in the door in the business. So, Severino’s reference letter was the push the Krim’s needed to get Ortega in the child care business. It is difficult if you don’t have any experience in a certain field, ⇒as you can see my post here about the recruiting process. ⇐ The actual process of getting a job may take weeks because they have to apply, and wait for the recruiter to get back to them. So for someone like Ortega who has little to no actual truthful childcare experience she cheated by getting her niece, Severino to write a letter document how great Ortega was with her own children.
One way, is to get a certificate from a local Community College. So, if parents want to make sure that the nanny is qualified to preform their job, they can request that they see a certificate that proves the nanny went to class and took time out of their own life to learn how to babysit. That would be appropriate and also have 3 solid references. So maybe, New York can request Nannies attend a Community College where they get a certificate to prove they attended these classes, make it a requirement before being able to take care of other people’s children, and while the nanny in training is trying to get the certificate
she is being watched in a day care where the supervisor has to sign off in the nanny in training‘s hours to become a certified nanny. So before she can legally be a certified nanny she has to do volunteer hours in a preschool or child care facility and be supervised and have her papers signed off by the supervisor before getting certified. This would be a lot better than Felony Child Gigs.
THINK ABOUT IT THIS WAY
Nail techs have to get licensed, massage therapist has to get licenses, TO DRIVE A CAR, you have to get you’re driver’s license but to be a nanny you don’t have to get licensed. So, instead of making Felony Child Gigs a law, maybe consider having nannies be certificated before they can take care of kids in New York. Let’s try this out at New York first because they are the one’s trying to get this Felony Child Gigs law to pass so, if New York has good results then, maybe, just maybe California and other states should adopt this nanny requirement as well.
Best and with lots of love, always,

It’s MEEE, again. I honestly wish I could do a better job at being a Loan Officer because absolutely , I love what I do, but getting business is hard, I’m not gonna lie. Working at a office environment compared to working remotely is a big change. and plus , I don’t get PAID, if I can’t fund. So the pressure is ON.. I believe the company I work for can defitenly improve in their support system, I literally called the company line like 5 times, just trying to get someone to answer some basic and general loan questions, they blew me OFF. I reach a different persons voicemail each time, So I told them (politely) Maybe they can consider a HOTLINE, so it’s a resource for all loan officers in case they need something , somebody will always be able to pick up that hotline and get an answer. I just feel so alone in this job. It’s so intimidating, for me to make my move, I feel like everybody is so establish and knows exactly what they are doing, and here I am still barely getting a damn application in and asking all these questions. Like it’s tough. I want to close and do it right . It’s so fustrating.

It’s ME again.
Anyways, I just want to compare the foundations down to the SHADE, literally, because THESE MAKEUP BRANDS …. like it’s kinda a challenge to find my shade. Lol, when I’m at Sephora picking out a color , I really need to take my time to find the right shade because I don’t like wearing makeup that makes me look ORANGE. Or TOO PALE. So, it’s like I can be seen swatching concealers on my hand , wiping my face , then reapply the concealer and then looking at the color on my face. But anyways, Like I recently just mentioned that I just bought that MAC NC 30 and you can read about that post here. Let me show you all the colors and their shades, as you can see BENEFIT’s HONEY is actually a pink tone, and OMG BOI-ING CONEALER IS SO PINK!!! That is totally NOT MY SHADE. And sadly I can’t return it because it used up all my BLIND RETURNS FROM ULTA.:( . So, I have to stick with it. So, I actually only been using the Honey recently because that Bares mineral power nude is a tad too light , and that Bare mineral medium powder isn’t FULL Coverage because it’s just a vial over you’re powder or liquid foundation so that wouldn’t be enough coverage for me to put on my skin.
BUT UP until now , can you guess which is my favorite?
THIS , yes , the MAC NC 30, Idk , I just really like that it not too pale and not too tan, and just good. I originally wanted to get NARS Foundation but after checking both Sephora and Nordstrom, they only carried the liquid form. So , yes I like that and using the Nars concealer , I think these two brands are TOP NOTCH, because benefit is cute and all that , but when it comes down to color and foundations /concealers , they can’t get it right, MAC, NARS has way better colors that matches you’re skin tone, and it’s almost like benefit doesn’t take their concealer shades seriously. It seems like they only make like 5 or 6 colors and expect that to be fix everybody from light to dark skin tones, and I don’t fit their foundation, it’s not a match on honey, nor on oxygen wow. Nor is their Bogus concealer Boi-ing or Boi-ing industrial strength. Oh, that Boi-ing erase paste was so pink it was so bad , I had to return that for ……….NARS, paid extra 10 bucks but heyyy it’s worth it.
Because I was satisfied with the Nars that’s why I wanted to match it with a powder foundation but apparently they don’t have that. So, I went with an MAC. And BTW it’s MY FIRST MAC PRODUCT PURCHASE. I like it. Good quality.
So Benefit color team needs to get their shades right, it’s just OFF. Seriously, here’s the swatches as you can see how pink it is?

So, I just purchased this new powder foundation because I really wanted to find a shade that I FELT fit my skin tone, because when it’s off, I can tell. I only got it for $23! , Idk why but I taught it would cost like around 30$. Honeslty the NC 25 was TOO PALE on me, so I had to get the NC 30!. But I think it’s good, just need a few primer under it.
Here’s the M.A.C. NC30 I just bought.

I know a lot of parents and everybody wants you to go to college, but since I been threw that, I would say that
find the best plan that works for you and do it, don’t just do what people tell you to do
because you can go spend all that money and time going to school and still not know what you want . So , if you had a dream of being a doctor , or something that requires you to get a 4 year degree then GO for it, but if you are not sure of what you want to do , it’s BEST to FIND that out early because then you can determine wheather going to college is right for you or not.
MAJORS REALLY DON’T MATTER
because you may have a totally job even though you’re major is not related, YES, YOU can still get a job in TECH if you majored in LIBERAL ARTS!, My point is the company will hire you with that Liberal Arts degree but may want to know if you’re qualified by what skill sets you have, like do you know how to web design, can you do X,Y,Z. So since, an major in COMPUTER SCIENCE, may have teach you how to do those skills, having a major in LIBERAL ARTS and apply to a tech company would not disqualify you. But it helps, because assuming, a major in computer science , you can tell the interviewer that “Hey, I learned how to web design in my classes”. BUT IF YOU DON’T major in Computer science, you probably can just learn some skills on you’re own and apply that too, LIKE , OH , I majored in English, and I still know how to do X,Y,Z! So this is how you tell the interviewer that although you didn’t have a major in COMPUTER SCIENCE, you still do have the skills.
SO IS IT WORTH ME GOING TO COLLEGE?
I believe that most employers EXPECT you to have some education greater than a HIGH SCHOOL EDUCATION, so it looks better on you’re resume, because it shows you can READ, WRITE, FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS, that’s what that peice of paper really means! It shows that you took the time out of you’re life to get educated. But honestly, It doesn’t come down to how smart you are , IT COMES DOWN TO WHAT YOU CAN DO! So, you may be super smart , but if you can’t translate that into results then really, what’s the point of having you , So College is a good why to test people’s intelligence, by giving them projects to do. And the people who are smart, typically do really well at them. And therefore, when they get the job, they can WORK WELL, such as MAKE THE COMPANY MONEY, because they know what to do, and can do it well.
So, college is suppose to be challenging, it’s suppose to test who can overcome those obstacles, like for example, if you’re struggling in many projects in school, and when you get a job in FINANCE, you may not do so well because in college you had trouble with that subject, but the only reason you passed is because you got a lot of help.
Hey, so all you high schoolers who are studying really hard, or people who wonder “OMG, I won’t get a good job if I don’t get into THIS UNIVERSITY/ THIS SCHOOL/ THIS PROGRAM. Well, my advice is FIND SOMETHING THAT YOU WANT TO DO, YOU CAN learn that skill in community college, it’s not the END of the World if you’re not accepted to that college or university you want to go to. If you prove , you’re dedicated, and you have the skills necessary then WHY WOULDN’T AN EMPLOYER HIRE YOU?
BEST OF LUCK, and LET me know how IT GOES ,
