Carina and The Summer Games

Once upon a time there was a cat named Carina.

Carina was a beautiful cat, and she always tried her best to be a good friend. Over the years, Carina made many friends on her walks around town, and sometimes she joined in the kitty cat games that they planned. This was a lot of fun for Carina, because she was able to run and jump with her friends, and they all laughed and smiled from all the fun. When summer time came around, many of the younger kitty cats would come out to play because they didn?t have to go to school until autumn. Mostly it was fun to have all of the younger kitty cats to play with, but some of the older cats were disappointed that they had to share the games.

Now, when summer would come around, Carina would be extra careful to choose the right games to play with the other kitty cats.

She didn?t want any of the kitty cats to feel disappointed. She wanted them all to have fun! Carina would choose games to play that would allow her to be on a team, like baseball, soccer, and cheerleading. She liked games such as tennis, swimming, and golf as well, but she saved those games for playing when she was alone. Since all of the kitty cats were out and about for summer time, she found many of her kitty cat friends to make teams with, and there were new kitty cats joining the teams as well. Each cat on each team would have a chance to play in the games, and to work together with their team to try to win.

Carina had a lot of fun playing team sports and games!

Sometimes the team she was playing on would win the game, and sometimes the other team would win. Each time Carina was so happy for the winning team, and she felt very proud when the winning team was a team that she played on. All of the teams had fun, even if they didn?t win, so all of the kitty cats felt proud inside, because they had worked together, made new friends, and shared the summer games. When it was time for the kitty cats to go back to school in the autumn, they all had fun and exciting stories to tell to their classmates about summer time, and playing kitty cat games as a team. Carina was glad that she helped so many of the kitties to have a great summer, and that made the summer games something that she looked forward to every single year.

Maya Makes a Friend

Once upon a time there was a Moose named Maya.

Maya the Moose was the kind of moose who kept to herself. She didn?t leave her home in the forest very often, and when she did she was sure to return very quickly. Maya didn?t spend too much time with the other forest animals, because she didn?t think that they understood her. When she was a younger moose, she tried to join in the Forest Animal?s Fun Day and didn?t like it very much. The other forest animals liked to joke around and have fun chasing each other, but Maya didn?t understand their jokes, and she didn?t feel like she was having any fun. Now Maya just stayed at her home in the forest, looking outside and wishing she had friends she could joke and play with. Maya had spent so much time keeping to herself that she was starting to get lonely.

Now that Maya was a little bit older she found that the she was changing.

Sometimes when she was at home alone wishing for friends, she would start thinking about the other animals, and the Fun Day from when she was younger. Maya noticed that when she thought about the other forest animals and their jokes, it would make her feel happy inside. Even though she didn?t feel like she was having fun on that day, the memories that she had from then were able to put a smile on her face. Maya decided that even though she didn?t understand their jokes, the other forest animals were very nice and fun to be around and she felt like it was important to make some new friends. Besides, she was getting pretty bored of looking outside alone every day!

The Forest Animal?s Fun Day was coming up and so Maya felt like that would be the perfect day to make some new friends.

Maya still felt a little unsure about how things would go, and whether or not she would be able to make any new friends at all. She decided to spend time with the other animals anyway and just see what would happen. Maya thought to herself ?If I don?t make any new friends at the Forest Animal?s Fun Day, I will still have zero friends and nothing will change. But if I make at least one new friend at the Fun Day, then everything will change!? Maya was really excited to go to the Forest Animal?s Fun Day, and a little nervous too.

When the day came, Maya woke up extra early to get ready for the fun.

When she arrived at the event it was packed with animals from across the forest all gathered together to have some fun. There were many activities and a lot more animals at the Fun Day then there had been when she was younger. Once again Maya was really excited and a little nervous too.

Maya stayed focused on her mission to make a friend and have fun.

She tried to meet as many other animals as she could, and spent a lot of time listening to their jokes and playing games together. Maya realized that the more time that she spent with the other animals, the more that she understood the jokes that they were telling. After a while she started telling the other animals some jokes of her own and they thought that she was really funny! She had such a good time that she could hardly stand it, and she even met a nice moose who lived near her home on the other side of the forest.

Maya made quiet a few friends when she decided to take a chance and go to the Forest Animal?s Fun Day.

She was glad that she went because everything did wind up changing for her after that day. She understood that having friends was important to how she felt on the inside, and that giving others a chance to be a friend was the first step to making a friend. Maya made it a point to go to the Forest Animal?s Fun Day every time, so her days of looking outside feeling lonely were over. She made more friends then she could count, and met lots of forest animals from her side of the forest. Maya learned lots of jokes, and started a trend of telling stories at Fun Day too.

Maya has been a happy moose ever since she changed her mind about keeping to herself.

Maya realized that by letting herself be a good friend to the other forest animals, she had finally found her best friend in the whole wide world which was her self.
