This is the home of Malaysia's Petronas Oil Co.
The Petronas Science Experience is on the 6th floor and is much like the Science museum in London, lots of hands on stuff. It is very geared towards the petroleum industry and was intresting.
Excellent shopping!!! you can find all the brand names your heart desires. Underneath the towers theres a super shopping mall with six floors of shops and more shops.
For picture taking you go out in the back, there is a park behind this complex. That's where you can take good pictures of the towers.
You can dine on almost any food you desire from anywhere in the world, even a good old fashioned London Fish and Chip shop. There are tons of restaurants for all budgets, we found the food courts to be excellent value and great quality.
Outside the mall you can walk in the park by the fountains, which turn into display mode from 18:30-22:30.

I never was a bird lover but this attraction was really impressive. kl Bird Park is easily accessible by taxi and is near other attraction such as the Orchid Gardens and the Butterfly farm.
Great display of birds, and there is little cafes so you can get a fresh drink or an ice-cream, prices are fare. KL Bird Park has more than 3000 birds with more than 200 different species.
Bring your insect repellent. Also it was very humid in KL - bring alot of bottled water.
The birds are totally unfazed by humans, which was great for photo opportunities.
The only problem I had was with some of the big birds being kept in pretty small cages.
The bird shows are around 1/2 hour and usually around 12:30pm and also another during the afternoon 3:30 pm but if it is a public holiday there is one around 10:30 am.
There are photographer, who can take your picture with many different types of birds; owls, Macaw & others.
Overall, we had a beautiful day there - this place kinda huge - set aside at least more than half a day for this trip.

We stayed for ten nights and it was great!
KL Sentral being across the road is VERY convenient.....esp the quick journey to and from the airport!
The Blue taxis from the hotel (Premier) are very nice, and cost around R5-8 more. Or you can jst walk across and catch a cab from KL Sentral....great thing about that is there is a Taxi Coupon system so saves you having to bargain!!!
All modern conveniences in the room, including tea & coffee, bottled water, etc. Excellent views!
Bathrooms do have rain-forest showers. Amazing!!
The breakfast was to die for! Everything you ever wanted was there. Fruits, cereals, all kinds of Asian & Western food. Numerous stations cooking to your order. Fantastic breakfast room!

Rooms felt a bit small, and the sliding doors on the bathrooms were annoying as you couldn't lock them
Hilton is definitely a business hotel......the lobby is a tad unimpressive when compared to the stunning lobby of Le Meridien.
The internet cost more than some other hotel room rates with free internet.

Just came back from 7-day stay in Kuala Lumpur. We loved our stay @ Equatorial. We paid extra for club-level access. It was worth it!
Location was excellent and an easy walk to the towers, and only a couple of minutes walk to monorail. As location is central its also a very very busy traffic area, recommend taking the monorel (a few hundred meters away - Raja Chulan station) especially in the mornings and evenings which connects to some stations on the LRT and also goes to Kl Central.
Our room was clean and spacious, flat screen tv on wall, a dvd player and a desk. Comfy chair and footstool. The bed was very comfortable not like the usual hard as a rock beds I have experienced in Asia.
Bathroom a little dissapointing due to shower over bath and no ventilation so it got steamed up, but not really a problem as we usually left our room soon after showering.
Room has a big window, nice curtains. Lighting is on the darker side though, room is not very well lit.
The best part was having access to breakfast, afternoon tea and evening cocktails and snacks in the club lounge.
It was so relaxing to go to club lounge and be waited on at breakfast , they had selection of juices and cereals, selection of tropical fruits, three different hot dishes along with an omelete station to make eggs however you wanted.
A good selection of pastries and toasts, spreads etc.

No Ventilation in bathroom.
Internet - Wifi and broadband access, good speeds however costs 49.95 for 24 hours and 16.95 for one hour so on the expensive side as more and more hotels offer free internet now.

I loved our stay at the Istana hotel. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and well decorated with tea/coffee making facilities and a newspaper each morning.
The location is also excellent - the hotel is situated between the Petronas Towers and the Chinese night markets, in addition to its close proximity to excellent shopping. Walking distance to:
- KL Convention Centre
- Suria KLCC shopping centre
- Bintang Walk shopping/restaurant district
- Chinatown (Petaling Street)
- Petronas Twin Towers
- KL Tower
Although check in was a bit slow, the staff was very professional and helpful. Nice rooms with a spectacular view on the petronas towers.
We ate one night at the bistro cafe in the hotel and the food was very, very good, and the staff in the cafe were also very friendly and courteous. The sports bar is OK and the drinks are now much more reasonably priced

Check-in staff needs to be better trained. Check-in process is extremely slow - better training and more staff should solve the issue.
The only drawback was the rooms were a little dated.
