RSS Feed How To Reactivate Rapport With An Old Email List

There’s a saying in the Internet marketing world that the money is NOT in the list, but in the relationship you build with the list.  That statement is so true.  So what can you do when you’ve lost the relationship with your list?  What strategies or techniques can you implement to re-engage yourself with your list and ‘revive the dead’ so to speak?

Well, it’s not that difficult to re-engage your list.  Let me explain?

When people first join your list, they have a certain need or desire.  Maybe they want to learn how to eat healthier than they do right now.  However, things change over time and people’s needs change over time.  The key point is that their needs are usually similar.  For instance, maybe this person now has diabetes and wants to learn how to eat healthier living with diabetes.

That’s why it’s okay to re-engage with your list no matter how long it’s been since the last communication.  One of the best things you can do is to just send your list an email straight up asking them what their needs are right NOW.  Ask them what you can help them with right NOW.  For the people that respond back to you, just continue the conversation and re-engage the rapport.

Reactivate Rapport With People Who Forgot About You

But what happens if people have forgotten about you? which will happen.  An easy thing to do is send them an email reintroducing yourself again and offer them a free gift by having them subscribe to a new list.  That way you can start fresh with a new campaign and a new plan.  You’ll have to treat these people as cold leads, so if you don’t get responses from some people, just let them go and focus on bringing in new leads.

What about people who do remember you, but they already have an impression of you? and not in a very good way.  I mean, what if you’ve been sending them emails in the past (maybe 5-10 per month), and all you did in the past was sell them low ticket items that didn’t really help them?

Once again, reintroduce yourself in the first email and tell them the truth about the changes you’ve made in your business.  Explain to them that you’ll no longer sell them stuff that WON’T change their life.  Really focus on giving them a few free gifts and give them amazing content that will blow their mind? really over the top stuff.  After a few emails like that, keep giving them great content, but only sell them your high-ticket items.  Your goal here is to become an expert in their eyes and to re-establish your value.  If people think you’re worth $300-$500 per hour, they won’t  appalled by your high ticket items.

If you follow these simple steps and implement these ideas, you’ll definitely re-engage your list and build rapport with the people who truly need your help.

RSS Feed 3 Search Engine Optimization Benefits Of Article Marketing

When you write articles for the purpose of getting traffic back to your website, there are a lot of search engine optimization benefits that come with it.  As you know, article marketing is not dead.  In fact, it’s still one of the highest and most profitable sources of online traffic today, but it takes time and dedication to get results.

However, when done right, you’ll get extra search engine optimization benefits without doing anything different.  Before I give you the 3 benefits, let me make it perfectly clear that you should never focus on writing your articles purely for the search engines.

You should focus on concepts and ideas, and let the search engine optimization benefits take care of themselves.  If you don’t, you’ll spend a majority of your time just trying to keep up with the constant changes the search engines make.

That’s not a recipe for success.  That’s not how you build your online business with a solid foundation.  Just focus on helping people by solving their problems and the rest will just fall into place.  Let’s take a look at 3 search engine optimization benefits of article marketing.

3 Search Engine Optimization Benefits

1. Additional traffic to your site – If you just write an article and submit it to an article directory, you will get traffic back to your website.  However, if your article happens to get ranked on the first page of the search engines, you’ll receive a lot of additional traffic to your site, and you didn’t do anything extra to get it.  There’s a few things you can do to improve your chances of optimizing your article (like having the keywords in the url, title, header tags, etc), but it’s important to remember to write your article naturally, and not for search engine optimization.

2. You get on the good side of the search engines – The more content you publish online, combined with the content being fresh and original AND helping people solve their problems, the more the search engines will trust you.  When they trust you and your site, they will send traffic to your site.  Remember, the only goal of the search engines is to send the most complete and relevant information to their customers.  If the search engines know your content helps people solve their problems, then they are more likely to make sure you get their traffic.   Plus, when you have 1000 pieces of content online and your competitors have less than 50 pieces, chances are you’ll get the traffic because they know more about you.

3. You position yourself as an expert – The more content you have online combined with your content being seen all over the place in your niche, the more people will look at you as an expert.  For example, if you wrote 5 articles (all original, and submitted to different sites) about how to make the perfect cup of coffee, and all 5 of your articles ended up on the first page, people would view you as an expert since you’re everywhere.  Positioning yourself as an expert is important because people buy from experts.  If you understand the 80/20 rule, 80% of the money being spent on information products is being sold by 20% of the marketers, which happen to be the ‘experts’ in the niche.

There are actually more search engine optimization benefits of article marketing, but these 3 are the biggies as I like to call them.

RSS Feed 8 Simple Steps To Creating A Guru Business In The Internet Marketing Niche

The Internet marketing niche is exploding with new people everyday, but the idea of creating a ‘guru’ Internet marketing business is overwhelming. I mean, you probably get over 100 emails a day from other marketers (not gurus) pitching one product after another. The real problem is that new people think you have to know and be an expert in ALL of those aspects in order to have a successful Internet marketing business.

That’s just not the case. In fact, creating a successful Internet marketing business is quite simple if you just stick to the main aspects of what your business requires. Furthermore, you can actually create a full-time income by just spending a few hours per day on your business, as long as you ONLY focus on money making activities. Here are 8 steps to follow in creating a guru Internet marketing business.

8 Steps To Creating A Guru Internet Marketing Business

1. Position yourself as an expert – Bottom line? people buy from experts. In fact, if you know anything about the 80/20 rule, you’ll know that 80% of the money being made comes from 20% of the people. Those 20% are the gurus in this case, because they are perceived as experts in their niche. The best way to become an expert in your niche (or about a particular topic) is to write 10 ‘over the top’ articles about a subject and submit them to 10 different websites. When done right, your content will take over the first page of the search results and people will see you and your content everywhere, thus positioning yourself as an expert. That’s what you want.

2. Create a squeeze page for building your list – The absolute most effective way to make money in the long run is to build relationships with your subscribers and sell through your email marketing efforts. The only way to build your list is to create a squeeze page that does nothing but put people on your list. All you do is create a simple 10-15 page ebook to give away in exchange for the person’s name and email address. Make the ebook simple and to the point, but make sure it provides value so the person will want to learn more from you.

3. Create new and fresh content regularly – This will be the majority of your daily work. You create content to drive traffic back to your website in the form of articles, blog posts, etc. In order to get the necessary traffic you require to get consistent traffic, you’ll need approximately 10 articles per day to achieve your goal. You can do this in about 2 hours or so, but it might take you longer when you’re just starting out. Don’t worry about it. The more articles you write, the better and faster you’ll get. The main point? just get going on creating content.

4. Create a 3 hour audio product every month – The majority of topics you can teach people on can be delivered in an audio format. The beauty of recording in audio is that a 3 hour product only takes 3 hours. When you stop recording, you’re done. For some things, a video demonstration will be better, but just understand it takes longer because you have to edit the video and stuff like that. The main point here is you MUST always be creating new products to sell to your list every single month. After 10 months of doing this, you’ll have 10 products. I bet your competition doesn’t have 10 products right now.

5. Create the sales letter to go with your product – After you finish your product, you need to create the sales letter to sell your product. If you’re just starting out and you don’t have a clue on how to create a sales letter, you can use sales letters generators software to assist you. As you get better and better, you’ll find you can write your own sales letters in more of a ‘letters from the heart’ approach. Think of it as having a conversation with one of your good friends.

6. Write a new email for your auto-responder daily – All you need to do is spend 15 minutes per day and write a new email for your auto-responder campaign. After you write it, just put it at the tail end of your campaign. Keep doing this daily and you’ll quickly put together a 6 month campaign, a 12 month campaign that goes out on autopilot. The beauty of these emails is they serve 2 purposes? to continue to build relationships with your subscribers and to sell them your products and services. You will make the majority of your money with your email marketing efforts.

7. Create a coaching program – This is where the ‘guru’ part of the business comes in because in all honesty, people are desperate for personal attention and personal hand holding to help them with their business. You can sell your products for $37 or $97 or more, but you can sell coaching for $97 per month, and increase it over time as your number of clients gets too high (which is a great problem to have). The majority of your big money over time will come from your coaching programs. Tip: all the recordings you create can be the foundation for your coaching programs.

8. Rinse and repeat – That’s all there really is to creating a guru level Internet marketing business. You keep it simple, you create content, you create programs, and you build relationships with your subscribers. You DON’T need to be an expert at everything. You just need to be an expert at keeping things simple and focusing on getting results.

Like I said, you really can accomplish a full-time income in Internet marketing by just spending a few hours per day working on your business. However, that means you only focus on money making activities that get you closer to your goal, and not spending time surfing the web, watching videos, etc. I think you get the idea here. Keep your business focused and you’ll see amazing results in just a short time.

RSS Feed The Long Term Benefits Of Article Marketing

Article marketing is the simple traffic strategy of writing a short, content-filled article for the purpose of driving traffic back to your website.  You freely give your content to an article directory in exchange for links back to your site.

But just writing the article and getting traffic isn’t all that happens. There are numerous long-term benefits of writing articles that you may never have considered before.  So, I’m going to tell you EXACTLY what they are.

The Biggest Article Marketing Benefit

First, and frankly the biggest long-term benefit in my opinion, is that you ONLY have to write the article once but the article will stay online forever driving you traffic to your site.  I don’t know about you, but I like the idea of working once and reaping benefits for life.  Article marketing isn’t like pay per click where once you stop putting money into the ads, your leads stop.  It’s exactly the opposite.

It’s important to remember that article marketing is a volume based strategy.  You can’t expect to write a few articles (or a few hundred even) and expect to get major results.  It just doesn’t work that way.  You have to crank out thousands upon thousands of articles to really make this traffic strategy work like crazy.

But this is where spending the time cranking out articles gets even better?

What happens when you’re article gets accepted and published online?   What does that do for you?  Well, you are now a published author, and that has importance.  A published author has more credibility and clout than an unpublished author.

The Viral Benefit Of Article Marketing

But it gets even deeper than that.  Now that you’ve been published, your name is getting online exposure.  The more articles you write, the more your name propagates itself through the web.  Take into the account the viral nature of article marketing (your article can get syndicated and shared on other sites), your name will get the same benefits of being viral, meaning your name will appear more throughout the web.

When people see your name in more places throughout the web, AND your name is given credit for thousands of articles, the real result psychologically is you are given credibility and people see you as an expert in your niche.

Here’s a vital tip? People seek out experts to help them!

Because people perceive you as an expert, they will pay you good money to help them solve their problems in your area of expertise.  When people do an online search for your name, and trust me they will, the more they see you are everywhere, you will be gain their trust and respect.

Article Marketing Tips

Let me make a note here? This doesn’t mean that you are in a race just to get the most content out online.  You are in a marathon to get out a ton of content that’s high quality and solves people’s problems.  If your articles are crap, then you have a bunch of crappy articles.  Remember, people will only click on your links and seek you out if you actually help them.  So bottom line, write quality content.  Quality ALWAYS trumps quantity.

Next, if you’re thinking using PLR articles (that’s private label rights), stop right there.  A majority of PLR articles are junk.  Honestly, by the time you edit and rewrite the article, you’ve spent the same amount of time, if not more, than you would have just writing your own article.  Plus, the PLR article is not in your voice, so just ‘man up’ as I like to say and write your own article.

Finally, if you plan on hiring outsourcers to write articles for you, that’s okay.  However, I recommend you write your first 1000 articles yourself so you can master your craft.  In all honesty, you won’t be in a position to make sure the outsourcers work is good if you’re not a master yourself.

RSS Feed How To Put Together Your Master Plan Quickly For Your Online Business

In business, there’s an old saying that if you fail to plan, you plan to fail.  That statement is 100% true, but there’s a myth about planning that it’s detailed, it’s complicated, and it’s time consuming.  I don’t believe that to be true at all.  In fact, I think that if you simplify the process, you can create a master plan literally in minutes, not hours, days, or weeks.  Therefore, I’m going to show you how to quickly put together your master plan for your online business.

Constructing Your Master Plan

The first thing you want to understand is that your online master plan should be short and concise and it should be GOAL ORIENTED, not detail oriented.  That means your plan should be about the big picture of your business and nothing else.  Your master plan should be no more than 2-3 pages long, but you should be able to summarize it on the back of a napkin or a small piece of paper.  As long as you stick to setting goals and not details, this should be easy to do.

Keep your goals simple and don’t have more than 3-4 goals max.  For instance, here’s an example of an online master plan that has 3 goals? traffic generation, relationship building, and product creation.  Now you can have a few sub categories of those goals, but once again, keep them short and concise.

For instance, with traffic generation, choose 2 or 3 traffic strategies that you personally can do not counting what you can outsource.  An example might be article marketing, pay per click and video marketing.  For relationship building, examples of sub categories can be daily emails, new subscriber campaigns and buyer campaigns.  For product creation? you get the idea.

Making Your Master Plan Visible

A critical misstep most entrepreneurs make is they don’t post their goals in front of them where they can see them daily.  This step is a must!  Whether you write your master plan on paper or a whiteboard, just get it up somewhere so you can see it daily.  As the saying goes, if it’s out of sight, it’s out of mind.

When you start your day and you’re putting together your daily plan, look at your master plan and decide what you need to do to move you closer to your ultimate goal.  Do NOT plan anything for your day that does not move you closer to achieving your goals, period!  About half way through your day, stop and evaluate your progress so far.  If you’re on track, keep going.  If you’ve fallen off course, make a correction immediately.

Unfortunately what happens far too often is people ‘work’ 4-8 hours per day on their online business, but when they take inventory of what they really accomplished, it might be 30 minutes to 1 hour of actual progress, and that just won’t get it done.

If you follow these simple steps and don’t complicate the process, you’ll quickly put together your online master plan and you’ll definitely see HUGE results if you follow your plan.

RSS Feed 4 Tips To Being More Productive And Getting More Results In Your Online Business

Whether you’re a full-time or part-time online marketer, way too many people don’t do enough ‘productive’ work to move them closer to their goals. They might spend anywhere from 4-8 hours per day on their business, but in reality they only accomplish about 1 hour of work because they spend too much time on non-essential items like surfing the web and checking email.

That’s about to change.  I’m going to show you what changes you can make today that will have immediate impacts.  I’m going to give you 4 tips to be more productive and to get you more results in your online business.

1. Focus on your most important and critical stuff first thing in the morning - When we start our day, we are the most alert and the most awake no matter what we do.  Therefore, it’s important that we only work on our most important projects first, whether that’s product creation, writing an ebook, recording audios or videos, whatever.  Other work that is more mundane should be reserved for the later part of the day when you’re not at your best, like writing articles, writing emails, etc.

2. Break your day into 90 minute chunks - Many studies have shown that working constantly for 90 minutes will produce the best results, but the quality of production severely drops off after 90 minutes.  Therefore, work non-stop for 90 minutes, take a 30 minute break and then do another 90 minute session.  Rinse and repeat this cycle.

A best practice is to work on project 1 in the first 90 minutes, then switch to project 2 in the 2nd 90 minutes.  If you are the kind of person who has trouble switching from project to project within a day, work on the same project continuously until it’s done, then move on to the next project.  Know yourself and stick to your strengths.

3. Pre-plan your ‘blocks of time’ if you only have a limited amount of time per day - If you work your business part-time, maybe because you have a full-time job or something else, and you only have ‘chunks’ of time per day to work on your business, plan your day accordingly to maximize your production.  Whether it’s an hour here or 2 hours there, plan accordingly.  You still can accomplish just as much as a full-time person, but only if you’re committed to success.  Remember, nothing great ever happens without working your butt off.

4. Cut out ALL distractions that don’t move you closer to your goal - You know exactly what these are.  Unless you get paid to watch TV or read emails, cut them out of your daily routine until AFTER you have accomplished all your daily goals.  Don’t get caught up surfing the web for hours on end.  Stop what you’re doing every 30 minutes and ask yourself if what you’re doing is moving you closer to your goals.  If what you’re doing isn’t, make a change immediately.

If you follow these 4 tips, you’ll be guaranteed to be more productive and get more results in your online business.
