This is the month of Ramadhan,for muslim this is the fasting month followed by Syawal,the month to celebrate the success we achieve during Ramadhan.To honour this great month,I will be taking a break from blogging for about 5 weeks.
Just some simple rules to consider while on your quest to make money online.
- Be humble.You will never know what is going to happen and what you will get from your effort.Being humble can help you by making less mistake,going for things within your capabilities instead following your greed.
- Calculated risk.The higher the risk,the higher the pay but always study and weigh your risk before making any commitment,being too cautious won't get you anywhere either.
- Emergency fund.Set aside some of your cash for emergency fund,if anything goes wrong you still can live on that fund or use it to do something else.Using all your money for your business is not a wise move.
- Mix it up.Rather than concentrating on one income streams,why not try a few,as they say,don't put all your eggs in one basket,but do it according to your capability and don't push too hard with the hope of easier and faster success.Add new things accordingly,don't start everything at the same time.
- Patience.After all that need to be done has been done,it is time to wait for the results,which if you have the capability,this time can be use to research about new opportunity.Be patient in getting results and be strong if the results is not like what you have expect.
- Be you.Don't follow the crowd,instead choose what you want because you want it,not because others are doing it.
- Perspective.Keep your perspective in check,always stay on track and never get derailed by new things or unnecessary things.
- Do it.There is no point in making a plan if you never execute it.Choose what you want to do,make a plan,make a schedule and go for it.
- Share.Always share your problems and views with someone close,wife or husband,fiancee or partners,friends,brothers or sisters.These are people close to you who know who you are,what you are capable of and your weakness.This are the best people to look for advice.
- Spending.Spend wisely on things you need and not for things you want.
- The last rule is Money Is Not Everything,work hard for it but never make yourself working for it.

If you want to make money blogging,knowing which type of blog that can make money is important that is if you want to make money by becoming an authority blog in your niche.If you are interested in making money by doing paid blogging this might not concern you very much.
Having a look around the blogosphere at some of the profitable blogs,I guess it all come to this few factors which some of it you might already knew,but I'll just write about it anyway.
- Traffic.Yes..everyone knows this,TRAFFIC = MONEY,blogs with lots of traffic get lots of money,but how they manage to get lots of traffic and how they convert it into money?
- Niche.Some of the above question are answered here.You have to choose the right niche.Some niche are harder to get traffic and earn money compare to some other niche,so choosing the right niche for your blog can help you get the traffic you desire and with it the income you dream of.
- Unique.Choosing the right niche is one thing,there will be others in that niche too,so being able to be unique can make all the difference.Having a unique blog with interesting topic can make it very popular,very quickly if you know how to expose it to the right audience.
- Tactics.We all know that TRAFFIC = MONEY,but looking at some of the profitable blog,the one with less traffic sometimes make more money than the one with more traffic.Why?It is all up to your tactics.What do you use to make an income,what kind of ads you have,do you promote any affiliate programs,do you carry any products on your blog,this sort of things.What you blog about and the audience you have also will determine which kind of advertisers wanting to advertise on your blog,this can also have major effect on the income you receive.
- Lucrative.There are lucrative niche and not so lucrative niche,the lucrative one as all of you might already know are technology,celebrity and humor,so if you know about anything within this 3 niche,you can blog about it,but make it unique because you will be competing with popular blogs and many others who also wanted to try their luck in this niche.
- Blogging.To blog about blogging and anything related to it is less lucrative unless you are really good at it because it is hard to put yourself against all the authority blog about blogging who have been around longer and already have a great number of loyal readers.But if you can do it,then you can make good money from it,from ads,sponsors,service you can offer like consultation,teaching.
If you want to make money blogging,there is always a chance,but you have to do it right.

We know there are people who makes a living just by blogging.We hear and read their stories and because it can easily spread because of the technology we have now,a lot of people started a blog with the hope to make it big like John Chow and Darren Rowse.
Do you read the whole story of their success or do you just read the part about how much money they are making?For a start,they both start with a niche blog,a specialty blog,John with his tech blog and Darren with his Digital Photography blog.By starting that blog out of passion they learn the tricks about blogging and learn they can make money while doing things they like about their passion.With the experience they have,they start their own blog giving away tips about blogging,and the rest,you all already know.
Do you know when they start and how long it takes for them to realised that by blogging they can actually make an income from it?They started about 4 to 5 years ago and they don't immediately make money because they start not because of money,but because of passion,along the way they learn that they can actually make money.Do you know that Darren still works when he first start his blog,later do part-time jobs and studying while still maintaining his blog.

- It takes a long time effort to really make money blogging.From what I read,the average age of blogs listed in Technorati Top 100 are 3 years,there are some exception for a few blogs which make it big just after 6 to 12 month,they are lucky,but if you think you can make it after 6 month,think again,so does maybe 1 million others out there.
- If it is your luck,you can achieve it fast.Doing the right thing at the right time for the right reason,meeting the right people,getting the right opportunity but what exactly of your chances to be that lucky?Hoping for luck is not a good thing,better work for it if you are really serious.
- It needs a lot of work.Domain,hosting,theme,layout,SEO,research,posting,comments and emails just to name a few.It needs a lot of work and a lot of your time.You have to make sacrifice,be patient.
- You might not make it.Even after all the hard work,the effort,the time,the reality is,not all will get to the pinnacle of blogging.Some just manage to get some income to pay their bills and rents,but some do make it,they manage to get a steady income every month.Some get a lot while some don't.
- It is hard.No one says it is going to be easy and it is not easy,but if you really love what you are doing,you have a great passion for it,you don't mind working hard to achieve it.
If you want to start something,make sure it is out of passion,if you only do it for the money,when you don't get what you want or getting less than you expect,the drive will slowly dwindle,but if your passion is money,that is a different thing.

There is no denying that to be successful in your business,you have to know about marketing.Doing marketing online are different from doing it offline.The basic rule are the same but they way you implement your marketing strategy can be different.
Most people think that marketing are about making sale and advertising.The truth is it is more than that.Preparing a business plan is marketing,knowing your product is marketing,knowing your target market is marketing,exposing your business is marketing.Marketing is more about making plans and strategy while sale is about implementing those plans to capture sales.
Some people are born with qualities that can make them a good marketer,they just have to polish it a bit to be good at it,some have to learn how to be a good marketer and sadly but true,some just don't have it even how hard they try.I'm not discouraging you by telling you this,but maybe you try too hard or maybe you have the wrong approach,because to me everybody have it in them to be a good marketer because it is the thing that we do everyday without realising it.
Why do I say so?Check this out and tell me if you don't have even one of this trait.If you do,then you are already a marketer.
- Try new things.If you like to try new things that you know through advertisement or hear from friends and family,then you can be a good marketer.Because a good marketer love to try things until they find something they really like and they believe they can do well with it.Even if they already have a business,they are always open for new option.
- Give advice.Do people come to you for advice?If you love to try things,this will make you knowledgeable and people often goes to knowledgeable person for advice.You love to try anything,not just particular things and this give you a wealth of knowledge.If people do come to you for advice on anything,then you can be a good marketer because a good marketer is a knowledgeable person who never limits his knowledge to one particular thing,but always have one specific things he love most.
- Enthusiastic.If you have a high level of enthusiasm towards things you love,you can be a good marketer because a good marketer is always enthusiastic about what he does,about new opportunities.
- Natural.If you tell things like it is,if it is good you say it is good and if it is not good you are never afraid to say so and you say naturally because you have tried it,then you can be a good marketer.A good marketer will say things as it is except for some marketer who resort to lies and empty promises.
- Honest.If you say things as it is,then you are honest and if you are honest you can be a good marketer because marketing is about honesty,about gaining trust.If your customer don't trust you,can you sell anything to them?
We do marketing daily without realising it most of the time.If we see a good movie,we tell it to our friends and family encouraging them to see it too,that is marketing.So does if we buy a good product,eat at a good restaurant,if we can convince somebody else to try it,and they find it good too,that is marketing,you have become a marketer for that product.
Still wondering if you can be a good marketer or not?My point is how you use the talent you actually have all along and polish it to become a great marketer.It is not about not having what it takes but what to do to make it work.

What I write here is not something that will surely work,but after doing some research,this are among the things that most Internet entrepreneur are doing,so maybe you can give it a try too and some of it you might already know,but never realised that it can actually help your business.
- Blog.Yes..what else.Everyone knows how powerful and popular a blog can be.I know,you might say that you already have a website so why bother to have a blog.Well my answer is,most business now have their own blog besides their websites.Blogs are more popular,easy to maintain,easy to update,cheap to run,easy to be index by search engine,easy to get traffic(If done properly) and a lot of other good reason.
- Overboard.Don't go overboard in doing things.You can promote your business through your blog,but don't just talk about your business,give tips,make your blog useful to attract readers to it.
- Personal.You can be personal on your blog letting your readers know the real you which you cannot do through you website but don't get too personal by talking just about you,your business.Being personal lets your readers relate to you,get them closer to gain their trust.
- Rewards.People like gifts,no one can deny this,but I'm not asking you to give out free gift every week or every month,do it according to your capability and give something that are related to your business,an ebook or even a newsletter can do the trick.
- Passion.I've talk about this before and I will talk about it whenever I need to because passion is something that will drive you towards your goal,there are people who succeed in doing things they hate but it is a rare case,most people find success doing things they love,just look at sports for example,football,racing,athletic,golf,tennis..can they do it again and again,training,all the hardwork just because of money?surely not,it all starts with passion and they keep on doing it out of passion.
- Educate.We learn new things everyday and we can also help educate others through our blogs,not everyone knows what we know so we can always share it with them.Giving something that is valuable and useful will attract more readers to your blog.
- Product.Choose one specific day every week talking about your product,maybe Tuesday is for presenting feature product and Thursday is for new product,something like that.It can be anything depending on what kind of business you are doing and promoting.Be creative.
- Sales.Other than gifts or freebies,people love sales,you can get things you want at discount price,you can do that too on your website and promote it through your blog.Maybe 20% or 40% discount or buy 1 get 1 free.It is all up to you because it is your business.
- Respond.The difference between a blog and a website is that blogs are updated more frequently and people can leave their comments.Don't ignore comments that you received,respond to it by replying their comments,give their blog a visit and if possible leave a comment too,this goes for emails too.You can build a network by doing this and maybe later create a joint venture project or business.
- Link.Before linking with others,you might want to link your blog to your website and vice versa,than you can start linking with others.Through good network you can start building links,it is not only good for your SEO but it will help others to connect with you.
