How many of you love to curl up with a cup of coffee and flip through a craft book or magazine to "imagine all the DIY project possibilities". I love nothing more than thinking of craft projects I could make, or sew or knit. | ||||||||||||||||||

Transform your nest and bedding with these whimsical and fun pillows.
Pick your favorite fabric for the core fabric and a simpler fabric for the heart. Select a fabric (a small, ditzy floral fabric will work if subtle) that will clearly showcase the "His" and "Hers" lettering.

Handmade Horse Pillows
Our new favorite blogger de jour is Emma from A Beautiful Mess. She reminds us of Zooey Deschanel of the New Girl fame and someone we are convinced would be our BFF! In the meantime, Emma has shown us how to make this sporty equestrian horse pillows. Super easy and fun for a kitschy cabin or if you are simply Wild about a Horse Themed room.

DIY: Fabric Covered Mousepad

Happiness. We discovered this easy to do DIY project on the Going Home to Roost site. A brightly colored, fabric covered mousepad is an instant desk remodel and somehow makes type-weary fingers happy.
Plus, this project is so simple that you can make several and have a stunning personalized gift to give to your blogging friends and family.
Follow these steps to make:
- Place your mousepad on the fusible web liner
- Trace around mousepad with your pencil
- Remove the second liner (NOTE: check to see which liner removes first by peeling apart at the corner).
- Stick the fusible web to the wrong side of fabric (wrong side is the side you do not what to see on the finished product) .
- Cut out the fusible web and the fabric together along your traced line.
- Peel off remaining paper liner (leaving the web on the fabric)
- stick to the top of your mousepad- line it up perfectly!
- Press for 10-15 seconds with your iron on medium heat (NOTE: the mousepad could be sensitive to high heat, test a small area first or better yet lay down a piece of fabric on top of the mousepad for added protection).

Friends at A Pretty Cool Life have given you an easy-to-follow tutorial.
Plus, it is a fabulous way to use some of your favorite fabric scraps. The design is so neutral too that you'll be able to bring out different color palettes. (We love a pop of orange or teal)
Play around with some of these polka dot fabrics or any colorful color palette you want. Keep in mind, we are happy to send Free Swatches so call us and ask us.
In truth, you can't make a mistake as this pattern is so versatile and perfect for either a sweet baby girl or boy!
Have fun and happy sewing.
