RSS Feed The Interrobang?

I love slang for some reason, and while cruising stumbleupon, I came across the ever-fascinating ASCII Character Pronunciation Guide, which defined many of the ASCII characters and listed all of their nicknames!

My personal favorite was the "Interrobang", which is a multiple character string consisting of both "?" and "!". e.g.

HAL 9000 from Space Odyssey
"Just what do you think you're doing, Dave?!"

There seems to be much controversy on the Interrobang Wikipedia page about which order they should go in; "?!" or "!?". Wikipedia even had a cool Unicode character for the Interrobang:

?

How cool is that? Now you can just copy the Interrobang above, paste it in your IM, and impress all of your friends! haha

Anyways, if you wanna look into what characters are called, "double-oh-seven", "bowlegs", or the "Chippendale chairs", check out the guide!

RSS Feed Twitteroo Awesomeness.

I never really got on board with Twitter. It seemed like a burden to have to go all the way to the Twitter website, log in, then navigate to the page where you update your status, then click post to have your status updated.

However, today I found Twitteroo: (for Win32) a downloadable application that allows you to update your status in one quick step from your system tray!

Twitteroo Download

What makes it especially cool (IMO) is the timeline section of the settings. If you switch the timeline over from the default ("Show Friends Timeline") to Show Public Timeline, you can see what 20, completely random people, from all over the world, are doing up to the minute! You can also find yourself in some pretty random conversations with these people you would probably never meet any other way!

I find Twitteroo interesting for the same reason this spoof-image of Twitter is funny: What Twitter would look like during a Zombie outbreak. I think it's an interesting way to know what's going on up to the minute, all over the world, completely uncensored, and out of Big Media's control!

One complaint I have about Twitteroo is that you can't stop that annoying status popup from sliding in and out all of the time. The popup is especially annoying when you have the updates set to one minute. You can turn the transparency of the notification down to 10%, but it's still distracting when it pops up. Otherwise, this app is pretty gangster.

There are several more Twitter apps for your specific operating system and plugins for your specific (modern) browser that are probably capable of achieving this same "fast, global update" effect..

Thanks for Commenting: Conley,

RSS Feed Hella Downloads!

Jamendo rocks when it comes to free music!
Proud to say my first album's been downloaded ~1700 times! It's no platinum record or anything, but it's a cool feeling knowing that people all over the world are enjoying! So, a big thanks to whoever is out there listening and sharing the music! =]

RSS Feed PhotonX25 Issues.

I recently purchased the Alesis Photon X25 MIDI Keyboard Controller from Musicians Friend's ultra-slow service and had some difficulty getting it to send MIDI data on Windows XP.

Alesis Photon X25 Top View

The Alesis X25 page only had a driver download and a method of re-flashing the Photon, but neither of these two solutions let MIDI data get through to Windows XP.

Logitech Web-Camera
It turns out, that my Logitech web-camera has a driver that conflicts with the Photon X25. Alesis offered me a registry fix and instructions on how to remove the conflicting driver via email, but it would have been nice if it was actually posted on their website. If you have a Logitech web-cam that might be conflicting with your keyboard, I've provided a link to the files below:

Download the Logitech Fix files here.

The only sucky part about doing the registry fix and driver uninstall is that your web-cam will NOT work once you've got your Photon working! I'll be searching for a solution to balance out both worlds, but until then, you're going to need to play favorites. If anyone knows of a fix please let me know in the comment section! Thanks!
