Renate Buser (born in 1961 in Barmelweid/Aarau, lives and works in Basel) is known for her photographic interventions. She thematizes architectural situations and points to their specific features. Here are some of her brilliant installations.

Here are a few of the artwork of Logos series by Zevs which were shown at the exhibition held at the Lazarides Gallery in London. This was his work with famous logos, plexiglass boards and his trademark paint. A beautiful illusion created by the dripping paint from the logos giving it an appearance of dissolving. This is the work of the same person who in the early '90s was known for spraying the abandoned railway tracks, and the streets of Paris with a can and later was one among the prominent figures who pioneered the French street art scene.

If you recollect, we have seen these field art designs in the past which were quite interesting. And here we have promotional field art design by pizza maker Papa John's to promote its whole-wheat crust pizza made from Colorado-milled grain in the wheat fields near Denver International Airport runways. Artist Stan Herd (with over 20 years of experience in "crop art") was the choice of the company to create this promotional field art design. Stan came up with a pizza- based design on 6 acres near Denver International Airport 's east and west runways and the choice of location was apt, with planes coming in on two strips over it. Passengers flying in and out of Denver International Airport will be greeted by this 'crop design' promoting the new whole-wheat crust pizza and this design will remain visible until the first snowfall, which would include the week of the Democratic National Convention.

Maho Beach is known worldwide because of Princess Juliana International Airport that is situated adjacent to the beach. The Princess Juliana airport (the second busiest airport in the Eastern Caribbean) has a short runway - at only 2,180 meters which barely long enough for heavy jets to land. And hence the incoming airplanes approach the island on short final for Runway 09 and have to fly extremely low, resulting in very low altitudes on their final approach over the beach and passing only 10-20 meters (30-60 ft.) over relaxing tourists on the Maho Beach. And the low flying airplanes include large passenger airliners such as the Boeing 747, which in turn made the location very popular with plane spotters. And a matter of fact, when an airplane takes off from the runway 09, people standing on the beach can feel the pressure created by the jet and even can observe it on the water. It is one of the few places in the world as of 2008 where one can view aircrafts in their flight path virtually just outside the end of the runway. Perhaps, where in the world would planes really land that close to sunbathers on a beach? It looks like the planes are landing right on top of the sunbathers on a beach and yes its true the airplanes really do come in that close to the beach. Many would say that its work of Photoshop, but these are real. Numerous photos of planes landing at Princess Juliana airport are available on airliners.net. And the airport does exist and if still you think otherwise, then perhaps you can have a vacation there and see it for yourself.

Architect Robert Harvey Oshatz came up with this design keeping in view the requirements of the client: the client wanted a house that not only became a part of the natural landscape but also addressed the flow of music. The Wilkinson Residence is located in Portland, Oregon. Douglas fir beams are used as expressed structural elements within the home. The design uses a natural wood ceiling that floats on curving laminated wood beams and pass through glass walls which wraps around the main living room. Private spaces such as bedrooms and bathrooms are located downstairs while the upper floor of the home accommodates the more public functions of the home.


'The steep slope of the site provided an opportunity to bring the building out into the forest canopy. Entry to the house is made through a small courtyard after walking down a steep driveway. The floor then continues out over the slope as the ground rapidly drops away. By the time the cantilevered deck reaches out amongst the trees, the floor level is some 25 feet above the ground.'

There are two footbridges over the canyon. Canada's longest footbridge extends an amazing 600 ft long across and is 152 ft above the ground. The other bridge spans 300 ft across the canyon and is 125 ft above the canyon floor. Eagle Canyon is a privately owned site near Ouimet Canyon, situated in Ouimet Canyon Provincial Park in Northwestern Ontario. In the Ouimet Canyon area, there are rare alpine flowers that are considered especially beautiful and arctic plants normally found 1000 km further north. One can view the beautiful unique surroundings from over the bridges. There are about 30 campsites and you can get a campsite for $ 30 per night and it offers everything you will need for a comfortable time.
