Get this-
Crochet, according to ABC News, is now "in!"
They even interviewed Crochet Today! Editor Brett Bara!
Just kinda exciting, maybe that will make a few more people interested in crocheting!
Happy Crocheting-
Chelsea
p.s. You may be excited to hear that I'm about 1/2 way through my sweater coat...pictures are to come!!

Hello my friends!!
I'm so sorry I've been MIA for the past month, June has absolutely sped away from me, but it has left me with a prized Finished Object: The Cardi Wrap! Thank you to my little brother Jacob, for taking the pictures for me!
Some eye candy for you:
Here is a rather silly picture of me showing my "wings," or the wonderful length of the wrap.
So, I guess I should say I'm very ashamed of my major procrastination, but I can also say I'm very proud of the gorgeous wrap!
So, I didn't tell everyone the last time that they should watch the roads: They have a new hazzard on them now...which is ME! I earned my drivers permit back in May! I've finished my drivers ed classes, and have 4 more hours of drivers instruction with my instructor, and about 3-1/2 hours of observation time left. I drove with my mom, and 2 brothers today. Jacob (11), was freaked out, and told mom that I needed to pull over and let her drive. Lets just say that he didn't get his wish, and made it home in one piece =)
Happy Crocheting!!

Today I'm announcing the name of the brand new teen knitting and crochet podcast...Teens Unraveled!
Congratulations to Aunt Kathy, who suggested the name!
A HUGE thanks to everyone that submitted a name, I really loved them all, and it was SO hard to choose only one!
Enjoy the new podcast, I'll spend some time learning how to work it and actually get an episode up! In the meanwhile, you can check out the site for the podcast at: http://teensunraveled.mypodcast.com
One last note: I got my driver permit this week! I'm really enjoying getting to drive. It's very exciting, but it's a big responsibility at the same time!
Happy Crocheting! Chelsea

Greetings to my fellow crocheters on this cold, windy day! What the perfect day to get out some stash yarn, and look through your crochet round tablecloth patterns. What? You don't have any? Well, you've come to the right place!
Crochet round tablecloths can become beautiful family heirlooms, and I encourage you to put every drop of love into making one for yourself or your family, and you will enjoy seeing it on your table all the more.
Have you taken the time to check out my great new pattern? The Kaleidoscope hat is available on Ravelry, or at my website, Crochet and Knit Hat Patterns.
Happy Crocheting, and don't forget to enter my podcast naming contest!

Hi Everyone!
I'm happy to announce that I am starting a podcast directed toward teen crocheters and knitters. I'm currently still in the beginning stepping stones, as I'm having troubles figuring out a name that is very catchy, yet perfect for teens. So, I'm having a contest! Leave a comment on this post with your name for the podcast, along with your blog address or email, and if I choose yours, I'll send you 150 yards of beautiful Pinkish Purple-y sparkly 100% hand spun (yes, by me!) and hand dyed (by mom!) wool yarn! Now who wouldn't want to try for some of that? I'm including a picture of the pre-spun roving. The pictures do not(!!) give justice to the beauty of this wool!
The Contest will end May 30th!! Be sure to tell your friends about it!
Now, to help you on with another clue from my last post! I had a giggly fun time on an interview for this podcast. You're still going to have to wait for more info, but you're more than welcome to guess!
Happy Name-Thinking and Podcast-Guessing! And don't forget to take the time to crochet, in the meanwhile!

Ok, so everyone knows the saying "I let the cat out of the bag," but today I'm changing that saying, and telling you I'm only letting half of it out.
My hint for you: I am going to be an interviewee (lol, is there any other way to say that?!) on a podcast, but I'm not saying which one until...later.
That was supposed to be my big surprise, but now I've got one that's even better!! My business has it's first original pattern for sale!! Yes, the long awaited Kaleidoscope Cutie is availible for sale as soon as my website gets fixed. If you use Internet Explorer, I think you could probably get in there and buy it, but Firefox is a no go at this point. So, the link! You can get your very own copy of Kaleidoscope cutie at Knit and Crochet Hat Patterns. Or, if you're on Ravelry, you can purchase your very own copy
And get this: until May 21st, you can get Kaleidoscope cutie 10% off!! Yes, that's right, I'm lowering my original price of $4.95 to $4.45 for ONE week!! Get your pattern while the sale lasts! Don't forget to tell your friends!!
 Happy Crocheting! Chelsea
