RSS Feed The 4 Best Hair Loss Solutions

Thinning hair is actually a very huge problem. It affects millions of men all over the world. It brings down self-confidence to a dangerous low, and it can make any guy feel ugly. It can also be very frustrating. The good news, though, is you do have plenty of hair loss solutions to follow today. You can begin with the following:

  1. Have yourself treated by a medical provider. Sad to say, most of the hair loss problems are genetic. If your dad or uncle has suffered from baldness at least at some point in their lives, there is a good chance you will too. You can blame it in two things.

The problem may be an autoimmune disease. This means that the antibodies attack the follicles, preventing them from producing hair strands. Another reason will be a hormone called DHT. It is produced through a powerful enzyme. When it gets into the blood, it weakens the follicles. Hence they cannot hold hair strands longer than expected.

You may want to have yourself checked first before you consider what treatments to use. The physician may suggest products such as Propecia to reverse the effects of DHT into your follicles.

  2. Eat the right kinds of food. Diet can also have something to do with hair loss. Keep in mind that the hair is made up of keratin, a certain type of protein. Moreover, like other body parts, the hair requires vitamins and minerals to be properly nourished.

If you are suffering from hair loss, boost vitamins especially B complex and protein. Avoid taking too much vitamin A. Cut back on your high-fat diet since it may only worsen the production of hormones that can lead to hair loss.

  3. Consider hair transplant. If you have enough money to burn and you want immediate results to your hair loss problem, you can approach a cosmetic center that can perform hair transplant. This non-invasive procedure entails removing hair strands in other parts of the body and "move them" to your balding areas.

There are two main problems with hair transplant: cost and lack of guarantee. However, if you are willing to take the risk, this is going to be worth it.

  4. Keep your stress level to a minimum. Stress can also cause hair loss. This may trigger the autoimmune disease called alopecia areata. This may also lead to the imbalance of hormones in the body. Find time to relax and learn how to deal with problems with less emotion and physical exhaustion.

RSS Feed How To Sharpen Hair Clippers

Surely, women need more accessories and equipment for their vanity, but it seems like men are keeping up. Most of the guys these days make use of hair clippers to groom the hairs inside their noses. The problem is that clippers can sometimes become dull, making them less effective in cutting. If you are a man and this is your dilemma, it is time to know how to sharpen hair clippers now:

Get to know the root cause. As they say, you will never know the right solution if you do not get into the main problem. What causes it to become blunt or ineffective?

It could be a part has started to become loose and needs to be readjusted. It may also be building up rust, or it has not been oiled for a while. Before you do any cleaning or even complaining, the check the problem first.

Disassemble the clipper. If you are using an electric clipper, make sure you can remove the wire from the plug before you do so. Learn to inspect every part. If there are leftover hairs, remove them by using a very small brush or perhaps tissue.

Remove the rust. If the rush is starting to build up in the clipper, you can still remove it by simply making use of a rubbing alcohol, preferably 90 percent isopropyl, and a piece of cloth. Rub the latter vigorously into the blades until all the rusty color is removed.

Sharpen the blade. You can follow the procedure in sharpening a knife. You rub the clipper blades on a sharpening stone. To avoid damaging the blades in the process, apply a small amount of oil into the stone. Sharpen in one direction only.

If it is a well-known clipper, you can always replace the blades, which you can get in your local store.

To achieve the same kind of look, you only need to have quite a number of layers, preferably on the sides. He also maintains bangs or fringes that enough to cover the entire forehead but never go beyond the eyebrows.

It's very easy to maintain a shag hairstyle since it doesn't demand constant combing or even styling. However, you may add mousse if you wish to give it more volume and a hair moisturizer to keep it shiny and healthy at all times. Of course, if you wish to keep the shaggy hairstyle, you really need to see a hairstylist at least once a month to properly maintain the layers.

Don't forget to carry the hair with the right personality or attitude. Rupert is known to be playful and spontaneous like any other teen, characteristics that add more to his charm.

RSS Feed Can Thinning Hair Be Genetic?

Can thinning hair be genetic? Unfortunately, the answer there is yes. There are plenty of factors that can cause baldness for both men and women. However, studies reveal that usually your own genetic composition has something to do with it.

Two Known Genetic Cases

There are two popular genetic types of hair loss. The first one--and perhaps the most common--is alopecia areata. It is an autoimmune disease. This means the immune system of your body prevents the growth of the hair by "destroying" the follicles. The antibodies may affect the hair follicles themselves, while the others will opt for the root sheath, as well as shaft and matrix of the hair.

If a person has alopecia areata, he or she will experience patchiness in different portions of the head, though majority will have only one balding portion.

Another type of baldness is known as DHT. It is actually an acronym of a male hormone that is present to men and women: dihydrotestosterone. Other two hormones are androsteinedione and testosterone. The body produces an enzyme known as 5-alpha-reductase. It is the one responsible in converting testosterone to DHT, which can then weaken the follicles over time as it travels through the blood.

What You Can Do

The downside with genetic hair loss is you are bound to get it. If you notice your immediate family members and relatives getting bald, especially at a young age, there is a huge chance it will occur to you too.

Fortunately, you have several ways on how to control it. The most typical solution is hair transplantation. The health care professional will remove hair strands in different parts of your body and use them to cover those balding areas. They may also recommend treatments such as Propecia and Rogaine. They counteract the developments and effects of the hormone.

Drake has been known to wear his hair in a medium length style with his bangs swept to one side. While he does not quite cover his eye, this is very similar to some of the more popular Emo hairstyles being worn today. Drake, however, does not dye his hair black. Instead, he prefers to have red highlights.

There is little need for styling products to maintain this particular style. All one really needs to do is run the fingers or comb through the hair and flip it to one side. This makes the side swept bangs one of the easier hairstyles to maintain these days.

Wearing his hair this way gives Drake a confident, nearly old fashioned but bordering on modern appearance. The overall effect is quite good on someone with a face the shape of Drake's.

RSS Feed How To Do Quiff Hairstyles

Elvis Presley quiff hairstyle

What did Elvis Presley and James Dean had in common? Besides their uber good looks, they also love to do their hair in a quiff. This hairstyle became popular during the 1950s until newer men's haircuts overshadowed it. It came back in the 1980s, and since then, men don on the quiff regardless of the length of the hair. If you're interested knowing how to do quiff hairstyles, then you need to follow these steps:

First - Create a pompadour look. A pompadour hairstyle became famous when it was sported by the mistress of Louis XV, Madame de Pompadour. It is characterized by having a huge wave on the front portion of the head.

To achieve the same look, use a comb and sweep the hair found on the front section to the back. You can use a pomade if you want to keep the shine and luster of the strands, making them appear still softer and smoother. An alternative is a hair spray to keep the big wave still.

Next - Pull the remaining hair. This is recommended for those who have shaggy or layered hair. The general rule is to never have hair strands going toward the face. All front hair should be pulled back. If you cannot hold them with additional pomade, you can add bobby pins.

Lastly - Add a roller. Hot rollers may be utilized if you want to create more noticeable quiff. You can keep the quiff for around 10 to 15 minutes or until you are sure you have already formed the huge quiff.

The quiff is very difficult to achieve if you have cropped hair. However, you can manipulate the frontal fringes or bangs. You simply need to bring them up using a hold on gel. Again, make sure the face is completely free of any hair.
